C | New Delhi, Oct 10 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla condoled the demise of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and former Defence Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav who passed away on Monday morning.

Birla will attend the last rites of Yadav in Saifai tomorrow.

Paying tribute to the former Uttar Pradesh CM, Birla said, "Socialist leader, pillar of socialism, leader of the masses Mulayam Singh Yadav is no more among us. Mulayam Singh Yadav ji helped the deprived, poor, needy people of the society and became their voice."

Birla cut short his tour of Kota to attend the last rites of Yadav in Saifai.
